Matt has been a Group Fitness Instructor since 2013, specializing in Interval Training. In three short years, Matt was able to showcase his unique talents, personality, and passion for empowering others, even to the most discerning of fitness clientele.

Matt has instilled confidence, and helped physically transform, many members he’s encountered throughout his fitness journey. He finished 2015 as a Semi-Finalist for the “Next Face of BeachBody” Competition.

With over twenty years under his belt as a DJ, Peter transforms his cycling classes into an energetic, motivating, invigorating and intoxicating experience that compels you to exercise even harder.

Peter G’s interval-training, circuit-style classes are structured to the rhythm of his playlist. Peter uses his unique talent of creating his own digitally edited music and designs specialty playlists specific for Indoor Cycling.

Suzanne, originally from England, settled in the states after traveling the globe as a professional dancer. Her love of movement and healthy living drove her into the fitness industry, which she has been working in for 14 years.

Suzanne strives to make each class fun, helping people live healthier, happier lives and through exercise and cheer. In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys musical theatre, Ballroom and Latin dancing.

Jeanine Oburchay

Yoga Alliance E/RYT-500 Hatha Yoga Instructor

Jeanine, E/RYT-500 is a hatha yoga instructor certified through Yoga Alliance. Jeanine’s yoga classes are often filled with laughter, as she instills in her students a nurturing playfulness that allows every practitioner – from beginner to seasoned yogi – to practice unselfconsciously, in a safe, supportive, yet challenging environment.

In her classes, proper alignment allows each student to progress in a way that helps to avoid injury and heal the body. In addition to teaching yoga, Jeanine is a Reiki Master, a practitioner of Thai Yoga, and a springboard diving coach. When she’s not working, you can find Jeanine either riding her motorcycle or spending time at home with her husband and menagerie of pets!

Sean O’Connor

AFAA Personal Trainer, AFAA Youth Training, TRX Suspension Training, CPR/AED

Sean became a certified fitness professional in 2012. An athlete all of his life, and a 2014 member of the USA Triathlon All-American Team, Sean has run 34 marathons, holds a black belt in Karate and is a self-proclaimed “gym rat”, who now motivates others through personal training and class instruction. 

He feels so fortunate to have worked with clients at every fitness level and all stages of life; children as young as 7 years old, including some that have Asperger’s, as well as clients as mature as 95 years old, with challenges such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s, depression and asthma. Sean’s charm and personality can make even the most apprehensive client feel comfortable and inspired about starting and sticking to a workout program at The J.

Jenn discovered her love for teaching exercise in California over 10 years ago, and brings her devotion for healthy living to Fairfield, where she lives with her husband and 3 sports-loving children.

Jenn’s passion for both fitness and education, drove her to became a certified Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer in order to help others use exercise as a way of making positive mental and physical changes in their lives. Jenn loves mixing music, motivation and energy to help each member achieve their individual goals. Jenn’s classes are always innovate and she is known for bringing her indoor workouts outside in the good weather, a fitness experience the members of The J are sure to love.

Natividad, an enthusiastic instructor with a kind-hearted personality, has always had a passion for body movement, and the unlimited ways one can move through exercise, dance, and more. Natividad has always believed that body movement is a form of art where everyone can create their own masterpiece.

With a background in aquatic exercise and Zumba fitness, Natividad will bring you a safe, effective, and fun workout that will keep you healthy, happy, and motivated. Natividad’s energy is contagious, and her comical demeanor will make you forget that you are working out.

ACE Group Fitness Instructor

Anita, after attending her first Aerobics Class, was so taken by the music, energy and physical challenge that it offered, decided to pursue a career in fitness that has spanned over 30 years. Anita’s enthusiasm for exercise is so infectious that her students follow her wherever she is teaching, some since her very first class.

Healthy eating is an important part of her life and provides nutrition guidance to her students and family alike. Anita is the proud mother of two children and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys working with people of all ages and fitness levels, always with a focus on proper form and injury prevention.

Tracy Trubovich

Tracy, a native to California, played on the women’s soccer team for California State Long Beach and graduated with a BS in Health Science. Tracy moved to the East Coast in 2012, and is happy to call Trumbull, CT her home. 

Being a busy mother of two young children, she makes sure fitness and nutrition stay a priority her life. Tracy teaches everything from Rowing classes, to Barre and Spinning to Tabata. Her stay-fit, stay-motivated attitude will have members of The J, smiling and sweating at the same time.

Megan Zwerlein

The Shambhava School of Yoga-200, Boulder College of Massage Therapy-2000

Megan, after fifteen years into her yoga practice, feels as if she has just scratched the surface of this sacred tradition of Dharmic living. Her classes are transformational, creative and fun. Challenging for more seasoned yogis, yet accessible to all levels. Megan weaves Vinyasa sequences with relatable philosophy, meditation, Pranayama, anatomy, massage, and eclectic music.

The common thread in all her classes are sequences driven by collective energy and intuition; participants always leaving moved, inspired, and ready to cease the day. It was while attending The Boulder College of Massage Therapy where her passion for a balanced life ignited. She went on to receive her Hatha Yoga Certification from an ashram nestled in Eldorado Canyon just south of Boulder, Colorado. Outside of loving her work, she can be found connecting with nature, nurturing her daughter, and enjoying all the simple things in life.
