The Purpose of BTWA To provide high quality educational services to children in grades prekindergarten through fifth with principal focus on those who live in the Dixwell/Newhallville area of the City of New Haven and other areas of the City that are similarly economically challenged;
Application Process BTWA is tuition-free, open-enrollment public school. Students are accepted regardless of background or academic record on a first-come, first-served basis. If more students apply than spaces are available, students are admitted by lottery. The target date to open is August 2014 with 90 students Pre-Kindergarten (age 4) through first grade.
